Description
I love this image of Sayumi from her first photobook. I have this thing for Lolli clothes. If I had the body, the money and was younger, I'd totally be wearing them 24/7. But I have neither, so all I can do is gush about other people wearing them.
Anyway, I was watching the PV for the ending to the new anime Vampire Hunter (Wakeshima Kanon - still doll) and was inspired to do something with a lolita image. Sayumi came to mind as someone I wanted to work with because she just feels like she could be one of those little Japanese dolls.
I had recreate her hair and the little puff balls on her shoes because the original image was a pixel monster. And of course I wanted to cut her out of her original background. Low res Images are NOT your friend when trying to cut people out. It didn't help that Sayumi had a nest of hair. D: Hopefully it doesn't look that bad.
Since I couldn't just leave it at that. I wanted to create an OLD tinted photo look with the image, how did I do? I might try it again with just an image and see how I do so I can manipulate a background as well. It's been awhile since I used Photoshop for things other then coloring. I'm out of practice. D:
Text in image is from Oliva Lufkin's album The Lost Lolli. :3
I think there's only one 2 L's in Lolli, but the album has 3, so I left it as is.
